District 8 Public Relations Tip!

Your club members are encouraged to select an outstanding citizen in your community or company. Honor your winner by inviting them to your meeting for the presentation and delivery of the award (small plaque, trophy, or framed certificate with their name engraved or printed). Notify your local newspaper of the upcoming date of presentation. Open your meeting to guests for the award presentation. Closed clubs can have visitors and guests. Take pictures and send to the local newspaper or announce on the local radio station. Be sure to include the Community Information Line, 1-800-569-0595, and the District Web Site: www.d8toastmasters.org for further information concerning Toastmasters on all announcements.

Please send suggestions or tips on how your club is informing your community or organization about the benefits of Toastmasters membership. E-mail your suggestions to gavelmaster@d8toastmasters.org and it will be forwarded to the District Public Relations Officer (PRO).
